Just the Beginning

Well I officially made it through trying 25! I want to thank all those who stayed with me during the journey. The journey is not over, but I do feel as if one chapter has closed and a new one is beginning. I still feel like Paul when he says " Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."~ Philippians 3:13. In these last 25 years God has given me many tests and challenges that have equipped with the knowledge to meet other challenges and opportunities. I am learning that learning is a continuous process. What you learn at 25 is the foundation for what you will learn at 26. The thirst for learning should never be quenched, because there is always something new to learn. For me, when I completed my master's program last May I almost fell into the notion that I was somehow finished and had accomplished all I needed to. This couldn't be further from the truth. In actuality it was just the beginning and the foundation for the next challenge. The same is true regarding my thirst for biblical knowledge and truth. I have not learned everything and will never know the complete mind of God, but what he has revealed is the cornerstone for continued learning and searching to meet those purposes he has ordained for me since ancient times. I am a huge Kurt Carr fan, and there is one song that is particularly fitting during this season. The song is titled " Just the Beginning". If you have a moment please check out the lyrics. Until next time, peace and blessings!
