The Year In Close

This blog thing is new to me but it is one of my goals for the new year! I invite you to journey along with me in 2011, as I face new opportunities on my way to God's ultimate purpose and plan for my life. If he moved in 2010, I am certain he will do the same in 2011. I am hopeful that my entries will provide help and encouragement to others walking in similar paths trying to follow Christ and his will for our lives.  With that said, I hope you enjoy and are ready for all God has in store!

As 2010 closes, I sit at my desk contemplating the year in review. I ponder on these last 12 months and how they have truly been life altering. Twelve months ago this time I had my Granny who was battling lung cancer. Although she was very sick she still managed to guster up some Christmas spirit. This year she rests, and is free from cancer in her eternal dwelling. I am sooooooooooo happy for her. She lives on and I feel her each morning when I glance from my bed at her picture resting on my dresser. I feel her presence and though I can not communicate with her directly, she is still a big force shaping my life and dreams. As I think about her last 12 months on earth I thank God that he gave us closure and time to spend together before she passed. He brought me home after graduation from my Masters program in May to be with her. To spend one last summer at Granny's! I challenge anyone who is still fortunate enough to have their grandparents in their lives to love them, and let them know they are appreciated. Do not let 2010 end without saying a a hearty love you to those dear to you.  Don't just love those in your immediate circle, but take the time to show kindness and love to a stranger. ~" Love Never Fails"1 Corinthians  13:8
